Player Development
Golf lessons are great for novices and experienced golfers alike. Whether you are new to the game and looking to learn the basics or a regular golfer who wants to improve their swing, our golf pro will tailor each lesson to the individual golfer. Golf lessons can be booked for 30-60 minutes of instruction. Lesson rates can be found below.
1-on-1 Golf Lessons
At each lesson, we will concentrate on a certain aspect of golf to improve your game. This includes Iron Play, Wood Play, Short Game, Putting and/or Basics. All lessons will take place on the driving range and practice greens.

Meet Our Instructor
Gord Hayward
Fort In View is very pleased to have Gord Hayward back for another season as our Teaching Professional.
Gord has been a golf professional for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to Fort In View. Gord has worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Sturgeon Valley Golf & Country Club and Mayfair Golf & Country Club. He was also the Head Professional at Fort In View Golf & Driving Range back in the late 90’s. Gord applies the skills and knowledge he has gained from this experience to all of his golf lessons.
Gord’s teaching philosophy is that no two players’ swings are the same. Each student has personal strengths and weaknesses that can be addressed on an individual basis. All good golf swings start with the basics – grip, stance, posture and balance. Gord emphasizes these basics regardless of ability and skill level. In each lesson, he will share his love and enjoyment of golf in a relaxed learning environment.

Corporate Clinic Golf Lessons
Minimum of 8 people – Excellent for companies or groups. This package is a great way to combine lessons with a group activity. learn more about the golf swing with friends and co-workers. Our corporate clinic includes a one-hour lesson at the driving range followed by lunch in the clubhouse.

Coaching Package
Want to take your golf game to the next level? Our coaching package is perfect for the golfer who wants a coach familiar with his or her golf game and wants regular instruction to become a better player. This coaching package includes: 11 lessons, 1 playing lesson & video analysis as needed.

Playing Golf Lessons
When you are ready to take what you’ve learned onto the course, book a playing golf lesson. Our teaching pro will accompany you for a round of 9 holes, providing 1-on-1 instruction from tee to trouble.
