Golfing in fall weather can be a wonderful experience, with cooler temperatures and vibrant foliage enhancing the natural beauty of the course. Here are some tips to make the most of your golfing experience during the fall season:

1. Dress in Layers: Fall weather can be unpredictable, with chilly mornings and warmer afternoons. Dress in layers to adjust your clothing as the temperature changes throughout the day. A lightweight, moisture-wicking base layer, a thermal mid-layer, and a windproof outer layer are a good combination.

2. Wear Waterproof Shoes: Fall often brings rain and morning dew, so wearing waterproof or water-resistant golf shoes will keep your feet dry and comfortable. If you don’t already have a pair, now is the perfect time to shop our 20% off pro shop sale!

3. Grip Consideration: Cooler temperatures can make your hands stiff. Consider using golf gloves that provide a better grip even in wet conditions. You might also keep hand warmers in your pockets to keep your hands warm between shots.

4. Watch Your Ball: Fall foliage can make it difficult to spot your ball if it veers off the fairway. Pay close attention to the flight of your ball and make a mental note of where it lands.

5. Mind the Wet Ground: Fall often means dew on the grass in the morning, and possibly rain. This can make the ground soft. Adjust your shots accordingly, especially when it comes to shots from the fairway or rough.

6. Prepare for Shorter Days: Days are shorter in the fall, so plan your tee time accordingly. If you’re playing later in the day, be sure to finish your round before dusk. Our last 9 hole tee time is two hours before sunset! Book your next tee time HERE. 

7. Watch Out for Wildlife: Fall is a season of migration for many animals. Keep an eye out for geese and other animals that might wander onto the course.

8. Have Snacks: With the cooler weather, your body may burn more calories to stay warm. Stop by the clubhouse for coffee and a snack to keep your energy up during the round. 

9. Stay Hydrated: Don’t forget to drink water, especially if you’re walking the course.

10. Enjoy the Scenery: One of the best parts of golfing in the fall is the beautiful scenery. Take the time to appreciate the changing colours of the leaves and the crispness of the air. It can make your golfing experience even more enjoyable.

Remember, golf is as much about having fun and enjoying the outdoors as it is about the score.
So, embrace the fall weather and make the most of your time on the course!
